The Big Commute is a race from Edinburgh to Glasgow via Lerwick. Two crews of twelve adults are racing OYT Scotland’s ocean-going Challenge 72’s from 20th - 29th August 2010. YOU could be one of the crews.

OYT Scotland member (and ex Chairman) Alan Rankin has published a book “Solo Round Scotland” (to be on sale at the end of March) about his amazing challenge to become the first person to singlehandedly sail and cycle around Scotland.

Organisers of The Tall Ships’ Races have selected five host ports in Sweden, Ireland, Norway and the UK for the Tall Ships’ Races 2011. The Tall Ships fleet will visit Greenock at the end of Race 1 before moving on to Lerwick as part of a cruse-in-company. The visit of the fleet poses many opportunities for OYT Scotland.
