We are seeking 12 crewmembers to sail across the legendary Bay of Biscay in aid of OYT Scotland in our annual charity challenge 2012. Are you up to the challenge or do you know someone who might be?

Destined for La Coruna on Spain’s North West coast, you could be part of a 12-strong crew confronting this famous stretch of the Atlantic Ocean - pushing your physical and mental boundaries to their very limits in the expedition of a lifetime, all in aid of charity.

Complete beginner or sailing pro, this challenge is designed for people of all abilities. Not only is it a physical challenge, but it is a fundraising challenge too. We ask that each crew member raises a minimum of £2,950 to take part in the challenge. This money will fund adventure under sail for young people of all backgrounds and abilities across Scotland. We provide a training weekend and fundraising support and advice to help you reach your target.

Leaving on 31 July, 10 days at sea will see you arrive at Coruna in Spain, having crossed the Irish sea, the Celtic sea, the Atlantic and Cantabrian seas. You will take part in all aspects of sailing while on your voyage, from navigating, steering, plotting the course and changing sails to keeping watch, logging your journey, cooking and enjoying the spectacular wildlife. Regardless of sailing experience, you will learn as you go - about the art of sailing but also about yourself and how you cope with the elements and the expansive ocean in the toughest challenge of your life.

So if you are 18 or over and wish to take on the most exhiliarating challenge of your life in aid of charity, act fast and secure your place so you can start fundraising and planning your voyage.
