Duke of Edinburgh Awards

Get qualified

A 5 or 7 day voyage with OYT Scotland qualifies for the residential section of the DofE Award

Please let us know on booking if you would like to use your voyage towards your Award. OYT Scotland is an Access organisation which means that even if you are not yet involved in the Award programme you can receive a credit note proving that you have completed the Residential section.

This can be used towards your Gold Award should you choose to join a local Award Group after your voyage. OYT Scotland is also able to offer the Expedition section of the Silver and Gold Awards on board our boats. These expeditions are classed as Other Adventurous Projects and involve a considerable amount of preparation time before the expedition voyage, to ensure that the group is taking an active a part as possible in the running of the boat.

This preparation time involves theory sessions, expedition planning and both an induction voyage and a practice expedition.

Please download our DofE Brochure.

Please note: a normal voyage with OYTS does not count towards the Expedition section as it must be planned in advance. Expeditions are only available to over 16's.
